Dear coleagues,

He have the great pleasure to announce you that, in the context of the XX-th edition of "George Enescu" International Festival, in Bucharest / Romania will take place THE "GEORGE ENESCU" INTERNATIONAL MUSICOLOGY SYMPOSIUM - from 8th till 11th of September

Concerning the general theme - Enescu - actual perspectives - the symposium will be organised on 4 sections:

 I. George Enescu in european context

II. George Enescu and  Béla Bartók – 130 years since birth

III. Aesthetics and style

IV. New documents

 

We would be onoured if you could accept our invitation to participate with a text (around 10 pages - 20 minutes, some other 10 minutes being reserved for discussions). Technique support wil be provided: CDplayer, Video projector, laptop.

We ask you to announce your decision of participation, as well as the subject you propose for the Symposium, until 1-st of November 2010. The text's resume (max. 500 words in WORD), your CV, both in english, and o picture (*.jpg) shall be sent until 1-st of May 2011.

A selection will be made, the results being comunicated until 15-th of June. The final version of your text needs to be sent until 1-st of September, in order to have all of them ready to be published after the Symposium.

For all the participants the transport for Bucharest is supported by the organisers (on TAROM flight routes) and the accomodation in a 3 stars hotel - for the period 7-12 September. All the participant will also receive an onrary for the participation and also free acces to the concerts in the Festival, during the period of the Symposium.

We are gladly waiting for you to come to Bucharest.
